Tanya Igic is a contemporary
jeweller based in Swansea, South Wales. She moved
from Serbia 8 years ago, after completing a degree
in Economics. Moving to the UK gave Tanya the opportunity
to develop what was a part-time business into a
full-time career in jewellery with the emphasis
on innovative and creative design.
Tanya is a self-taught jewellery with a very unique
and individual technique. Using fine leather and
influenced by floral, natural and abstract motifs,
Tanya creates shapes and forms in leather. She incorporates
this with silver to make elegant necklaces, earrings,
brooches, pendants chokers...
The textural qualities and 3-D look of her designs
is obtained using layering, rolling and punching
techniques. This exciting and innovative work is
produced in bright, natural or pastel colours and
all designs are available in a wide variety of shades.
Tanya sells through Exhibitions and Shows, Galleries
and design-led retail outlets. She has been exhibiitng
in England, Wales, Ireland and the Channel Islands.
