About Chris Hawkins
An early interest in sculpture, and a fascination with the miniature led Chris Hawkins into jewellery making. Chris' work combines the highest level of craftsmanship with a sense of wonder and discovery, as the closer and longer you look, the more you will see. While highly informed by fashion all pieces by Chris Hawkins are tactile, pleasing to both the hand and eye. In recent years Chris has become increasingly known for, and concentrated on, collections for men. Chris Hawkins was trained in the traditional Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths apprenticeship, spending five years with Jonathan Swan. Chris Hawkins Jewellery carries out in-house design and producion from a converted 19th century coach house in Brighton.
At Plush Jewellery, we hold a number of pieces of jewellery by Chris Hawkins. If you would like any further information about Chris Hawkins or would like to enquire about commissioning this designer to make your perfect piece of jewellery, please get in touch, you can call us on 01243 778424.
These Corvid Crow cufflinks are darkly delicious. Made from polished blackened silver, each features a crows head (measuring 25mm) with dark garnet eyes, each is backed with a polished blackened silver bone. The gothic Chris Hawkins Corvid collection is inspired by the obsession that the Victorians had with collecting. Chris says ‘Blackened silver and dark garnets give the collection a distinctly dark feel.’
