The Flora Collection of jewellery by designer maker Jessica Hewitt is inspired by linear forms found in nature. Floral motifs are simplified and reduced to create symmetrical forms with crisp lines and a geometric edge. These simple shapes are used by Jessica Hewitt in repetition to explore scale and form and used in two and three dimensions.
Jessica's work is very distinctive and her "Flora Collection" was shortlisted for the prestigious Kayman Award in 2006. The judges commented that it was “A simple graphic device, subtly executed”. As implied by the name, the collection features a stem and petal motif. The pieces in the range are wearable, modern and feminine.
