Collette Waudby trained at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, graduating in 1995 and now works out of her workshop in the historic Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.
Working in silver or gold her collections include necklace and earring sets, bangles and bracelets.
Collette’s work concern itself with looking at the straight and the curve, their relationships with one another and the body. Observations and influenced are taken from both organic and manmade sources, each piece aims to express elements of symmetry, space and balance. This Mavilo bangle by Collette Waudby is a stunning, deceptively simple piece of jewellery. When you reaslise that Collette manipulates the solid sterling silver in three different directions to form the elegantly twisting Mavilo motif which appears to be growing around the oval bangle you appreciate the silversmith's skills at work.
