Lara Baxter Designer Jewellery at Plush Jewellery: Lara Baxter is a contemporary designer jeweller, based in the West Coast of Scotland. Her jewellery is very distinctive in its use of botanical form and is handmade in her workshop near Oban in Argyll Scotland.

She uses silver, gold, enamels, semi precious stones and pearls in her designs.

Lara says "Coming from a family of artists (my father, John Cheney, was a potter and a lecturer in ceramics and my mother, Pat Cheney, is a jeweller) I suppose it was inevitable that their influence would rub off on me eventually." Since setting up on her own Lara has discovered her own style and developed a unique and sensational portfolio of designs. She loves the highly stylised work of Renee Lalique and the fluidity of the Art Nouveau moment.

Her current range of jewellery includes necklaces, bangles, rings, earrings and tiaras, mostly wrought in sterling silver occasionally combined with 9 or 18ct gold. Lara is happy to undertake commissions.
