There's going to be a time when you're looking for that special piece of jewellery for yourself or one of your beloveds, that piece of jewellery that can't be found on the high street. Commissioning jewellery provides you with the opportunity to create that perfect unique piece.
Commissioning jewellery can sound daunting but it really isn't. We work with over thirty high quality UK jewellery designers and this gives us fantastic flexibility when it comes to making those jewellery dreams a reality. The distinctive styles of these craftspeople can be utilised in creating your jewellery. We do the hard work so you don't have to.
All you need to provide us with are a few ideas about the piece you are looking for and the person who will be receiving it and we can start on the commissioning process. We'll consult with you at every step of the process, from the initial sketches until the piece in finally completed, it couldn't be easier.
We firmly believe that commissioning a piece of jewellery should be as simple as buying a piece out of the shop window.

Marieanne asked us if we would make her Palladium wedding band, of course we were delighted to do so and she asked if we could incorporate diamonds from a family ring that had lost its main stone at some unknown point in history.

A Pair of Gold Stud Earrings Made from Inherited Jewellery.
These gorgeous Gold stud earrings were made for a 21st birthday present.

The design style was taken from a much-loved pair of silver studs and recreated in our South Coast workshop.

Ben's 18ct Gold and Diamond Handmade Engagement Ring.
Ben wanted to suprise his lovely girlfriend by proposing when they were on holiday and he needed the perfect ring. Ben worked with Holly at Plush to create the design and finish for the ring. The ring was then handmade by Plush Jewellery.

Mavilo Ring in Palladium. A Commission and A Collaboration.
Alice loved Collette Waudby's Mavilo rings but needed something a little more hard wearing as it was to be her wedding band. Taking Collette's original Mavilo as inspiration we decided that the perfect ring would be a single band created to mimic the look of two bands together with a single Mavlio leaf mounted to appear attached to one of the bands.

Love Ring
A much-loved ring was brought in to us. Made from a plated base metal; as with many rings of this sort, the plating wears away over time to reveal the base metal below. Could we suggest any way of making the ring wearable again?

Seven Stone Eternity Ring
This was a wonderful commission for us. We were asked to make a seven diamond half-eternity ring in gold but as can be seen from the image, the setting was a little unusual.

Hinged Palladium Wedding Band
We were asked to make a sturdy wedding band for a client, the twist being the request that the ring was hinged. If a bangle can have a hinge in it then so can a ring!

We are able to source a variety of stones for you. Let us source your diamonds for you and set them.
The skills of the silversmith can also be used to breathe new life into that piece of jewellery that's been sitting unworn in your jewellery box. If stones need securing in their setting in a well loved ring or the ring needs resizing, we can arrange that with minimum fuss. If an inherited piece suffers from looking somewhat dated, why not have it remade into something more contemporary (we can create you a new piece using elements of your existing jewellery). Lost one of the earrings from a favourite pair? Let us see if we can create a new matching partner.
